ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY : I LOVE YOU I HATE YOU

Sometimes,,

When you say something to someone
they always have this machine inside their head
calculating the meaning and translate it to their language

What if the machine is broken
and translate it incorrectly

Just like this girl,,

There's someone trying to tell her that he loves her
but the voices go through her head and being translated

wrongly...

ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY : STUNNED NIGHT

It's late night

The stars are bright

The sky is stunning

yet,,

She still cannot go to sleep

Something's going on in her mind?

Why does she look so cold?

Is she gonna vanish away with the stars?

Please let the star have mercy for her and put her sleep tight in bed....

ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY : STRING ATTACHED

Are you afraid of string attached?

Seems like this girl isn't afraid of the word.

She, herself, spitted the string off her own mouth and tied herself up.

I don't know why she did that but what I can tell is that

She doesn't look happy...

ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY : UMBRELLA FOR TEARS

She's not in a good shape

She's torn into pieces

She's out of control

She's out of her mind

She's burnt

Her tears are red like blood

The umbrella which was former umbrella, is now used as a bucket for her own tears

She's just got fired....

MY PORTRAIT FROM WISUT

This is the portrait this Thai artist, Wisut, drew for me. He held an exhibition right now in Bangkok and he had activities every Saturday. For the last Saturday, he had this activity that he would draw live portraits for everyone who attended the exhibition.

What do you think?

I think it's so much alike me!!

ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY : GROW OLD MEDITATION

This lady takes meditation seriously. Her hair is all white. I guess she hasn't moved for so long that a bird can build a nest on her head. Look at all the wrinkles on her face. I don't know if the meditation's doing her good or bad. What do you think?

THE POSTCARD FROM WISUT

This is a postcard I bought from an exhibition I visited last Saturday. The artist is Wisut Ponnimit. He is Thai but became famous in Japan. He is a cartoonist with such a style of his own. The free-hand line and how each stories represents the real life of people, his comic becomes unique and irresistible.

You can have a look at his works here.

Hope you do like it as I do!

THE DOLL I KEPT TO MYSELF

I am quite ashamed to say this but well, this doll was supposed to be given to my friend as a birthday present. I got this doll when I went to the north of Thailand around 3 weeks ago. I intended to get this for my friend but after I went back home and took a look at the doll, mann, he is just irresistible! You can do lot of stuff with the doll. The best part is that you can dance or make he dances! He's got long legs and long arms. He can make a brilliant dancer!

The person who makes this doll has cancer. So she spends her time making this doll to earn more money.
She's quite talented. You can tell she really put effort in doing this. I will definitely buy more of the dolls If i get a chance to go there again.

I just love it!

Sorry, Orn
I can't let you have it.

THE PORTRAIT

I had stopped blogging for quite a long time. Due to my laziness and stuff. But today, I have a whole free day so I started to do some sketches which I have finished quite a lot and you will probably see some in my shop pretty soon.

But a portrait showing here is a portrait of someone I'm really into now. I'm quite proud of it because every time I do the portrait, it always turned out really suck and doesn't look alike "at all". But for this one, it's quite similar to the real person. Well at least, me for one know who the portrait is. haha

The presents

These are two presents I just recently made and gave to my one and only favorite in the entire universe. He came to Thailand for some movie press. I was really excited and was so happy when I heard. I decided that I want to give some stuff but I did not want to buy it since I can make the stuff by myself !
The first present is the portrait using the sewing technique to make the outline of the face and eyes and stuff. I left the paper in the mouth area to make that part more outstanding. Frame it in the clear mirror on back and front since I intend to make it seeable in both front and back which I used different colors.
The second one is quite funny. I know he loves doraemon as well as basketball. I made the graphic in the photoshop and made it as the doll. And you know what, after I gave him the doll and he went into the car, he just kept looking and playing and smiling at it!!!! I was so so so so happy that he likes it!!!! The others fan just bought him stuff instead of making him one and some didn't get a chance to even give it to him. Poor them...

My not so perfect keychain

Finally, I have finished my very first own doll-keychains!!
I'd longed to do the dolls for a long time but with due to my laziness, I kept postponing. It might because I thought that silk screening would be too troublesome. I hate all the complicated processions. Until I have recently discovered the new technique from my friend. I can't really remember what this technique is called but it's very easy and real fast. It's just like printing on the fabric directly. Although the color might fade but I think it's worth it since you got full-colored doll as an outcome!!
But again, due to my very lack of sewing skills, I couldn't make these two dolls perfectly. They are my "serious" dolls I made by myself. But I'm pretty sure after keep redoing and keep practicing (can be up to 10), I would learn how to make it perfectly. So now, these dolls are mine!!! Well, I don't dare listing them in the shops. Who would buy it anyway??!!
So if you have any comment or suggestion on these dolls, please do post it.
I would love to read them!!

MundoGominola

Today, I just by chance got into a chat room in etsy and met one of my customer who bought my "apple notebook". She's from Spain and she also has a shop in etsy too. But it seems like she doesn't list all of her illustrations. But when I visited her blog spot, OMG, I'm just surprised!!.

She's really talented so I urged her to list more of her illustrations in the shop because they are just wonderful.

Check out her shop and blog spot here.

Paper vintage bag

Finally, it's time for me to start my own blog after reading from other's for a while!
I've been making some handmade notebooks and some illustrations for postcards and sell it in etsy and dawanda quite a while. Not really popular though -__-!. But I still have passion! And what I always wanted to make is doll. And yesterday, I finally had a time to go buy some fabric to make some dolls. My focus was on cotton, plain white. I had been walking for a while, went in and out of the shops until finally, I came to this shop, old style and very dark. They only sell cotton fabric for lining. The price here's quite reasonable so I bought 1x1 M of white cotton.
And what came to my surprise was when the seller handed me the stuff, in a paper bag!!! I finally found someone using paper bag (in the market) because every time I buy stuff, I only got plastic bag. It's so global warming-trend! I'm just happy and the bag's so so so vintage, old style and classy, just like the one in my childhood time.
